Steel Making Process

Melting

In order to melt steel, quality ferrous scrap is charged in the induction furnace. The raw material is transformed into liquid steel in the furnace. In order to achieve essential chemical composition, the liquid steel is then monitored.

CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE (CCM)

The liquid steel is then transferred through ladle into continuous casting machine and is turned into Steel Billets (semi-finished goods) in the required sizes.

Rolling Mill Process

Billets are heated in the re-heating furnace in order to obtain the required temperature so they could be passed through the roughing stands, intermediate stands and finishing stand. The mill is equipped with computerized PLC (Programmable logic controller) in order to monitor uniform rolling throughout the process. After the rolling process, the bars are then dropped on a state-of-the-art cooling bed. Then the bars are cut into the required length automatically for the completion of the mechanical test in order to maintain quality, then bars are packed in bundles and are ready for dispatch.
